I just got back from the most amazing trip to Barcelona. Seriously not only one of my favorite cities but the Spanish culture is so full of life, art, passion and more!
Here’s one of my favorite Spanish Beauty Secrets I learned when writing my book Passport To Beauty:
Cranberry Juice Secret
It's all about the cocktail in Spain! The cranberry cocktail, that is! Women of Spain are known for their magnificent hair color. They use cranberry juice mixed with a 1/4 cup of cranberry juice mixed with a 1/4 cup of water, and use it as a final rinse.
And here are a few of my favorite must see’s when visiting this gorgeous city!
1) GAUDI GAUDI GAUDI!
Wow, Gaudi is truly one of the most gifted artists and the city of Barcelona showcases all his art in the most incredible way. Check out:
The Park Güell is a public park system composed of gardens and architectonic elements located on Carmel Hill. It has the most incredible architecture and city and ocean views!
The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. Casa Segrada Familia is so awesome that it takes your breath away!
Casa Batlló is a renowned building located in the center e of Barcelona and is one of Antoni Gaudi's masterpieces. A remodel of a previously built house, it was redesigned in 1904 by Gaudí and has been refurbished several times after that. Such a wonderful place! Must-see!
2) THE SEXY ROOFTOP BARS
If there were ever a city for a sexy cocktail on the rooftop, you found it here. These are my favorites:
Sunset - Manadrin Oriental - Amazing views of the city and the most incredible fare.
Brunch - The B Hotel - If you want to sit poolside while taking a step back in time, this is the place. With an incredible view of the Place de Catalunya and Montjuic. Yummy tapas and a casual vibe, the view will have you wanting more more more (not to mention the incredible Arenas mall next door)
For a perfect nighttime glass of champagne the Skybar at the Grand Hotel is a must. Who doesn’t love a gorgeously lit castle as their view?
3) WALKING WALKING WALKING -
You can walk everywhere which is great exercise to burn off those platas espanas and pastries!
Gothic Quarter - with narrow streets you can get lost in, gothic architecture, incredible cathedrals, amazing street musicians, and shopping, what’s not to like about this incredibly rich neighborhood.
Montjuic - The Magic Fountains, The Museum, The olympic stadium and a castle to too, this part of town is absolutely stunning. Montjuïc is a characteristic space in Barcelona. It is located in Sants and it is a mostly recreational area with a large number of sights and attractions. Just beautiful!
