Tadashi Shoji in Cannes

There’s nothing I love more than spending time in the South of France. Especially during the Cannes Film Festival.

And this year going back with a schedule packed with beauty meetings, parties and just the glamorous red carpet Cannes activities, I knew that I wanted to find a dress that was fresh, sophisticated with a flair of exotic at the same time.

Tadashi Shoji is one of the designers that has always exuded beautiful quality and sophistication in all of their incredible designs.

First stop: Canal Plus Pink Carpet for a quick meet and greet with a few of our Oscar Winning London friends

Next Stop - The Planet Fashion TV Yacht Party. Because you know, it's not the Cannes Film Festival without at least one glam yacht party.

What I love about this particular dress by Tadashi Shoji, called the Teresa Gown, is it's a light and airy all-over rose print chiffon v-neck gown. It has a flattering pleated bodice and braid trim backed with nude lining to complete the style sucking you in, in all the right places.... love that :). If you know me, you know all this travel can get my weight fluctuating all over the place. I wish I could say I was super disciplined like my Beverly Hills and Venice Vegan No Carb eating girlfriends, but I just love food. Like Love it! So I am always looking for dresses that will accentuate my assets and hide my stomach. Much easier for me than saying no to some good french bread and salted butter lol.

The skirt and bodice of this dress are lined in the Tadashi Shoji black signature stretch jersey fabric, while the flutter sleeves remain sheer. So pretty! And a truly unique piece that is a feminine showstopper. Especially with the gorgeous print. It was a new style for me and not one I would usually choose, so I was excited to strect out of my comfort zone and wear something different.

The last stop, and always my favorite, is dinner on Le Suquet with Tony at one of the cute sidewalk cafes up the narrow street for some of the best traditional French food you'll have! Rich French sauces that I could literally swim in and the most romantic ambience. A perfect end to any evening in Cannes... and that too dressed in Tadashi Shoji.

Thank you Tadashi Shoji for dressing me in your gorgeous designs for my trip to Cannes! And for my launch in London for Passport To Beauty. I'll be sharing those pics soon!

As always, we'll see you at the next destination!

xo,

Shalini
