Failure Is A Bruise Not A Tatoo

Failure is a bruise not a Tatoo

It’s not often people talk about their failures. I've failed. Royally at times. It's what has made me successful and resilient. And what I feel makes a truly successful entrepreneur.

So why is it then that it's so difficult to get people to share more of their failures as much as they share their wins? The wisdom gained from those set backs (or opportunities as I like to call them) are so valuable. What if your lessons learned could change the course of someone else's life?

When I started building my first business, there was such a stunning lack of women mentors, I was shocked. I had plenty of men that were willing to help. But nine times out of ten it didn't come without some sort of hook.

I made a deal with myself that I would always pay it forward when it came to helping other entrepreneurs.

Thanks to the amazing team at @the_other_f_word_podcastfor having me on to talk about my journey as a female entrepreneur, first generation Indian American and minority building global beauty and lifestyle companies that celebrate diversity and the global palette and what failure meant to me. I love that your podcast focuses on one word - failure. People think it’s such a bad word. I like to think of set backs, failures, and epic ass kickings as master teachers to make you even stronger, wiser and more bad ass on your journey. Remember, Failure is a bruise not a tatoo.
